EiMAS is a training centre under the Department of Environment Malaysia (DOE). EiMAS implement trainings to DOE staff and industry related to environmental pollution control in accordance with the requirements of the legislation under the Environmental Quality Act 1974.
EiMAS is located on a 10-acre area within the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Campus in Bangi, Selangor Darul Ehsan. The institute officially commenced operations on 2nd April 2002, with an inauguration ceremony led by YB Dato’ Seri Law Hieng Ding, the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment in Malaysia.
EiMAS seeks to increase the abilities and knowledge of DOE staff in the field of environmental pollution control and enforcement by implementing training through competency courses. In addition, EiMAS organises technical competency courses for the industry to ensure that environmental pollution management is at the forefront of the industry’s focus.
EiMAS aspires to be Malaysia's Centre of Excellence in Environmental Management.
EiMAS is committed to strive for excellence in environmental protection initiatives by implementing human resource development programmes and other initiatives aimed at addressing environmental challenges. These efforts aim to create a clean and healthy environment that supports human well-being.
